In Celebration of National Coming Out Day, Let’s Highlight Some LGBT Artists

Actually, it’s only going to be LG and maybe B - I’m not progressive enough to know any T artists. LOL
For those not in the know - meaning you probably don’t live in Los Angeles like I do, LOL - LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender. October 11 was National Coming Out Day, and I feel that deserves a nod. I’d like to take this opportunity to highlight some LGBT artists that are worth your time and attention, whether it’s National Coming Out Day or not.
Let’s get the obligatory KD Lang and Indigo Girls out of the way. They’re kick ass, but everybody already knows about them, so I’m not going to spend time expounding. Let’s get on to people you might NOT know!
Adrianne - Her lyrics are poetic (check out “10,000 Stones” to see what I mean!) and her songs are catchy and fun.
Levi Kreis - Oh my dear LORD, this boy can sing and play piano. I saw a show once where his fingers were bleeding from playing so hard. I’m not even joking.
Nina Storey - Listen to “Woman” - it’s incredible, and it kind of even makes me want to be a lesbian.
Doria Roberts - Her song “Perfect” is an ideal love song, and you really can’t stop singing it once you hear it.
So, I would encourage everybody take this opportunity to
1) Treasure all the LGBTs in your life, and let them know that. It’s not always an easy path, and it’s never bad to hear someone tell you they value you. So, tell them!
2) Discover some new music. There’s never a bad time for that, either.
